Avondale DMS

 

Materials and equipment are the heartbeat of any development.

As well as our bespoke computerised Delivery Management System (DMS) which allows the orderly booking in of site deliveries from Trade Contractors, Avondale can arrange for the provision, management and maintenance of transport and warehousing requirements to ensure the smooth management of deliveries to our Clients’ developments.

Avondale will ensure delivery of ‘just in time’ consolidated loads to meet your planned productivity.

As well as keeping the project free from unnecessary materials which have been delivered too early, our logistics arrangement can remove packaging at the Materials Distribution Centre and disposal of this prior to it reaching the project.

In partnership with The Logistics Education Centre, we developed a three-day in-house training course for our senior Management Team, which covered the following modules:

We have a number of preferred service providers in all sectors of the Logistics Industry across the UK, and aim to provide a pivotal service to fulfil our Clients’ delivery and/or warehousing requirements.

Our integrated solution for Delivery Management includes the provision of warehousing space, freight transport from this distribution centre to site, reverse logistics from site and a bespoke materials picking IT system to ensure that, from receipt from the Trade Contractor, all materials can be picked efficiently and delivered to site to be off-loaded by our skilled labour and delivered to the correct floor plate and zone for installation.
