Avondale have invested heavily in a programme dedicated to training our management and employees in waste management and environmental awareness.

Avondale are signatories to WRAP’s ‘Halving Waste to Landfill ‘ initiative and are senior managers have all completed the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management’s ‘Waste Awareness Certificate (Construction)’ course to support them in their roles.

Clean waste streams as the key to minimising disposal charges as the waste in contaminated skips cannot be sold to re-processors for recycling. By segregating the waste streams on-site, Avondale can achieve significant savings on waste disposal during the course of a project.

Avondale is a registered waste carrier and partners with a number of other waste carrier companies who operate state of the art Materials Recovery Facilities within London and the South East. We also deal direct with a number of Re-processors for typical construction waste streams including cardboard and plastics (packaging), timber, plasterboard and metals. Through this relationship we offer the highest possible diversion from landfill rate on each specific project.
