Sancroft, Christchurch Court

The Sancroft, Christchurch Court project is located at 10-15 Newgate Street neighbouring Paternoster Square. The new project involves the change of use on the lower levels of the building to install a new gym and retail spaces, with offices situated above and a new 7th floor terrace and green roof. Externally the façade and fenestration at ground and first floor will be refurbished. Completion is planned for the first half of 2022.

Avondale Logistics works include Traffic Management, Delivery Management, Telehandler supply with driver, Hoist operation, Fire marshalling, Waste Management and Welfare Management

The Westbury Hotel is located within the Mayfair Conservation Area and occupies a corner plot on the junction of New Bond Street and Conduit Street. The new project is to completely transform the existing hotel, removing the existing eighth floor structure and portion of rear building to all floors. The basement will be extended to level -2, and the rear structure will also be extended increasing the footprint and installing a new rear façade.  The interior will be completely stripped back to concrete and refitted to provide 5+ star accommodation for approximately 200 guestrooms.

Avondale Logistics works include Traffic Management, Delivery Management, Fire Marshalling, Waste Management, Welfare Management, and Handyman and Carpenter Duties. Avondale have also been employed to design and install a turn-key internal welfare and office facility at ground floor and basement level of the hotel.

The Filmworks project comprises the construction of over 200 new homes, eight screen cinema with various retail unitsa surrounding the central piazza.

Avondale delivered the full site logistics management package including Traffic Management, Delivery Management, Waste Management, Welfare Management, Site Security, Access Control and CCTV, hoist and beneficial lift management and operation as well as the supply of a telehandler forklift with operator and banksman.

In preparation for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium is undergoing major renovation to deliver ‘Legacy’ elements for the stadium which include a new West stand, new track and warm up area and a new Northern Plaza.

80 Strand is a Grade II listed existing office building located in the centre of London along Strand equidistant from the Embankment and Temple Underground Stations.  The building comprises 15 storeys overall and is undergoing major refurbishment while remaining partly in use. For this project two main contractors are on site (Sir Robert McAlpine and ISG), each with their own construction programmes and work areas.

Avondale have been employed by the client, Standbrook Ltd to manage the ‘Common Domain’ acting as Principal Contractor for the shared areas of the site. This includes the traffic management, delivery management including material distribution team, waste management and removal, common domain cleaning, handyman and carpenter duties, telehandler and operator supply as well as site security and access control.

Nine Elms Park is a new multi-plot site in the heart of the Nine Elms regeneration area. The project is a mixed use development and will include residential, education and retail, community and public spaces distributed over a 2.5 million square foot site.

Avondale have been employed as Principal Contractor to provide the following:

Review & Update Construction Phase Plan and Traffic Management Plan

Develop and execute logistics management strategy

Enforce site wide health and safety standards, and administrate inductions

Client: Vastint UK

Sugar House Island is a new waterside development south of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and neighbouring Pudding Mill Lane station being delivered by Vastint UK. The scheme is set to deliver a 26-acre mixed-use waterside neighbourhood with over 3 acres of parks, squares & yards, 58,000m² of new office space, 1,200 new homes, a 2-form entry primary school, and a 350-bedroom hotel.

Avondale have been engaged by Vastint UK to fulfill the role of Principal Contractor which has included the following:

Administration of site wide rules and safety inductions

Liaising with Lot contractors and managing plot access

Management of pedestrian, vehicle and plant movement

Avondale were also recently employed to design, supply, install and fit-out new temporary office facilities for over 100 staff, and welfare accommodation for 800 operatives.

One Braham is an adjoining development on Braham St in Aldgate in which Aldgate Developments are commencing a redevelopment into a 320,000 sq ft £350m office scheme. The scheme adopts a contemporary office feel with exposed ceilings and integrated retail at ground floor, whilst still boasting some of London’s finest views, and considerable floorplate efficiencies.
