Sugar House Island is a new waterside development south of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and neighbouring Pudding Mill Lane station being delivered by Vastint UK. The scheme is set to deliver a 26-acre mixed-use waterside neighbourhood with over 3 acres of parks, squares & yards, 58,000m² of new office space, 1,200 new homes, a 2-form entry primary school, and a 350-bedroom hotel.

Avondale have been engaged by Vastint UK to fulfill the role of Principal Contractor which has included the following:

Review & Update Construction Phase Plan including Traffic Management Plan

Administration of site wide rules and safety inductions

Liaising with Lot contractors and managing plot access

Management of pedestrian, vehicle and plant movement

Competency checks on Trade Contractors’ personnel

Trade Contractors RAMS review

H&S Consultation with the workforce

Monitoring and reporting HS Statistics

Avondale were also recently employed to design, supply, install and fit-out new temporary office facilities for over 100 staff, and welfare accommodation for 800 operatives.
