Project Description: Avondale supported McLaughlin & Harvey by providing site-logistics services throughout the construction of the new City Learning Quarter campus in Wolverhampton city centre. The landmark four-storey building, part of a £61 million campus transformation, features state-of-the-art training facilities, digital-media suites, sciences labs, hair & beauty studios and a theatre.

Project Highlights: Avondale’s involvement in this project began in December 2023 and continued through to project completion in August 20025. Following the completion of the project, we remained on site with a skeleton crew, providing essential Logistics support for final client snagging and fit-out activities. Operating within a congested city centre with constrained site access, the Logistics phase was inherently complex. Through effective planning and execution, we successfully navigated these circumstances, ensuring outstanding operational safety and completing the project with no vehicle incidents. As part of the project’s social value commitment, significant community engagement was undertaken. This included delivering a Construction Health and Safety briefing to pupils at a local infant school and donating a substantial quantity of educational books to support the children’s learning.
