BP4 Development for Canary Wharf Contractors (aka 25 Churchill Place)

Avondale Construction Limited provided Logistics Support Service to Canary Wharf Contractors on their BP4 development. The overall project scope comprised of the construction of a 23 storey steel framed office building. The site on the Canary Wharf Estate had restricted access which was overcome with the use of a delivery management strategy using a Lorry Holding Area which Avondale oversaw.

Logistical duties Avondale successfully managed included: –

•    Delivery and collection of all materials, plant and waste using the on-line Zone Manager system which all Trade Contractors used to book deliver/collect slots and the off-site Lorry Holding Area.
•    Co-ordination of traffic marshals who are tasked to control vehicle movement on and around site, including producing delivery schedules on a daily basis.
•    Clearing and maintenance of the welfare facilities including satellite toilets.
•    Fire Management
•    Waste Management
•    Rainwater Management
•    Safe Access Maintenance
